Hearty and strong, constructed to endure every single frazada is unique. The wool is first sheared from farm-raised animals; sheep and alpacas. It is then spun, plied, and naturally dyed from local flora and fauna indigenous to the region. Frazadas are all woven by hand on a back strap loom and the process in which they are made can take up to 2 months.
This piece of art is to be cherished and passed down. It is crafted with wisdom, integrity, and a knowledge of the power and bounty of the place it comes from-Peru. To bring a Frazada (Peruvian textile) into your home or space is a gift that brings with it an energy of love and beauty.
